Professional Piano Tuning Service
Grand, baby grand and upright pianos are notorious for losing tune and pitch, and we often get asked why, and it is not something we can quickly answer because there are so many factors. Still, generally, the most significant cause is age and changes in the weather.
We might not be able to tell you the exact reason why your piano lost its tune, but we can retune it, and it’ll be professional-grade tuning to the highest standards. We optimise and tune for schools, universities, studios, concerts, theatres and of those with pianos in the home.
At AMH we have tuned thousands of upright, grand and baby grand pianos in Wandsworth Town and Putney. We have experience repairing and tuning a massive range of manufacturers, notably some of the best pianos available, which include but not limited to:
- Welmar Baby Grand c1960
- Rud Ibach Sohn Upright Piano c1990
- Knight K15 Upright Piano
- Kemble 116 upright piano c1988

Piano Repair, Servicing and Restoration Services
We have been repairing, servicing, and restoring pianos for a very long time. Our team members are fully qualified and insured to work on the full range of problems that a piano might have wrong with it.
If you have broken strings and peddles, these are usually things we can fix on the same day our piano technician visits your property. We stock thousands of replacement parts and rarely need to order parts, but when we do, it usually only takes one working day.
If you have damage to the interior or exterior of the piano, then our restoration service can help you mend and refresh your instrument to as good as new quality. We have a dedicated workshop where we can rebuild pianos from the ground up.
Piano Removal Services
AMH strongly advises all customers with pianos to use a professional and dedicated piano removal company. Using a standard removal comes with huge, expensive risks. They might be great at tearing down beds and wardrobes, but unless they have the training to tear down pianos, they will not be able to disassemble and then reassemble a large grand piano.
We regularly correct the mistakes of the removal companies, and sometimes this damage can be massive damage to the exterior walls of the piano, which can be very costly to repair. We also recommend customers leave the piano to sit for 1-2 weeks before being played, and there’s a chance it will need to be retuned, not because of the move itself but because of the temperature changes in the environment.
